First-of-its-kind wall arm EHR workstation incorporates EVO Comfort Glide Lift Technology™ and other innovations for exceptional ease of use, maintenance-free durability and sustained value

Franklin, MA, June 28, 2021 – Jaco Inc., today announced the Jaco EVO Wall Arm, a new wall-mounted workstation for point-of-care electronic health records (EHR) applications.

Evo wall arm press releaseThe EVO Wall Arm is based on Comfort Glide Lift Technology™, the breakthrough height adjustment system in  Jaco EVO™ and EVO Lite™ EHR carts. Comfort Glide lets nurses and clinicians adjust the EVO Wall Arm’s height smoothly, silently and with minimal effort.

The new EVO Wall Arm includes several innovative features and design elements that deliver next-level ease of use for nurses, as well as maintenance-free reliability and lasting value for hospitals and healthcare systems.

Adapts to a wide range of hardware for superior investment protection

EVO’s Comfort Glide can accommodate LCD screens or all-in-one computers up to 24” diagonal. A simple adjustment provides the perfect amount of support depending on the weight of the hardware. The unit supports standard and extra-large keyboards out of the box, and is available with a universal PC holder, or a locking PC cabinet for added security.

“Too often, upgrading computer equipment means purchasing and installing new wall arms, which is expensive and disruptive,” said Fred Rossini, CEO of Jaco. “As with all of our EVO products, our new EVO Wall Arm lets a hospital invest with confidence in a solution that will let them upgrade to future technologies as they emerge.”

Exceptional flexibility, stability and store-ability

The EVO Wall Arm is available in Standard and Extended models offering a maximum 42” or 57” working distance from the mounting wall, respectively. Both models offer a wide range of height, monitor and keyboard adjustments, enabling nurses and clinicians to work from a variety of positions while fully engaging patients. The wall arm height locks firmly in place with a single, large easy-to-turn knob, and is engineered maximum stability during typing and data entry.

When fully folded, the EVO Wall Arm extends just 7.5” from the wall (8.25” for the Extended model), out of the way of clinicians and patients.

EVO’s keyboard cover doubles as a spacious 20” x 9” worksurface, with integrated mouse retention that holds and protects the mouse when the unit is folded.

Built to last – and deploy fast

Like all Jaco products, the EVO Wall Arm is built from lightweight steel and aerospace-grade aluminum. All surfaces are finished with a smooth, high-gloss, antimicrobial powder coat that wipes clean easily and stands up to medical-grade chemical and ultraviolet (UV) sterilization.

EVO Wall Arm ships full assembled and cable-ready for fast installation, remarkably easy integration and rapid time to value. Available options can help hospitals fit EVO to many existing wall arm mounting tracks. And every EVO Wall Arm is backed by the Jaco EVO 10-year warranty.
