JACO Introduces Ultra Series of Wireless PC Carts Specifically Designed to Meet the Exacting Needs of Healthcare Professionals

Advanced Ergonomic Design Enhances User Comfort and Productivity

FRANKLIN, MA, 01/01/07 - JACO, the global leader in mobile PC platforms, today announced the launch of its Ultra Series wireless PC carts specifically designed to meet the exacting needs of healthcare professionals in hospitals, clinics and offices nationwide. With more than 40,000 carts currently in service, the redesign of the company's market-leading PC carts was based upon extensive feedback from its healthcare customers and reseller sales force.

The Ultra Series carts feature an advanced ergonomic design that enhances user comfort and productivity. The carts are equipped with foot activated pneumatic cylinders that let any user quickly and easily adjust the work surface height for comfortable use in either a seated or standing position or make minor vertical adjustments to establish their preferred viewing and reaching distances. In addition, the keyboard tray offers an ergonomically correct plus or minus 15° tilt and pivots to provide the correct working relationship for each user.

The new carts offer a larger work surface and a greater range of motion than previous models, while maintaining the smallest footprint of any cart on the market. The small footprint saves valuable space and provides easy mobility within the facility.

To complement the new carts, JACO has developed enhanced options, including extended work surfaces, forward moving monitor stands and configurable drawers.

Most importantly, Ultra Series carts can be powered by JACO-24V or JACO-48V 120W AC Power Systems, the most reliable mobile power systems in the industry. Based on the latest sealed lead acid technology, these true sine wave power batteries provide 30-100% longer run times, three times quicker recharge and up to double the cycles of the competition. The patented JACO Power System Ramp permits quick, no hassle, no lifting battery service and replacement.

Ultra Series Carts can be equipped for use with laptop, thin client or desktop computers from most popular manufacturers, which lets IT staff designate their preferred brand, without worrying about having to support proprietary, non-standard computers.

Ultra ZXP carts, which offer a 4 bar piston-activated mechanism with 16 inches of vertical height adjustment, are available in two versions:

Ultra ZXP-Laptop for laptop computers.
Ultra ZXP-CPU for laptop computers, docking stations with flat screen monitors and thin clients with flat screen monitors.

Ultra SL carts, which offer a piston-activated single post with 13 inches of vertical height adjustment, are available in three versions:

Ultra SL-Laptop for laptop computers.
Ultra SL-CPU for laptop computers and docking stations with flat screen monitors.
Ultra SL-Desktop for small form factor desktop PCs with flat screen monitors.
